Privacy Policy

Every calculation on this site runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your salary, account balances, debts and savings targets are processed locally and are never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by our servers. We could not retrieve them if we wanted to.

We do use standard web analytics and, on some pages, advertising, both of which involve cookies and limited technical data. Those are described below.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, bank details or any other personally identifying financial information. There is no login, so there is no user profile to build.

Calculator inputs are held in your browser's memory for the duration of your visit. If you use the “Share” button, those values are encoded into a URL that you choose to copy or send — we do not receive a copy of it.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site running, diagnose faults and detect abuse, and are retained for a limited period.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which calculators are used and how pages perform. Where analytics is enabled, it measures aggregate usage — page views, device categories, load performance — and never the numbers you type into a calculator.

This site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on sites across the internet and use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website. More detail is available in our Cookie Policy.

We store one small preference in your browser's local storage: your choice of light or dark theme. It never leaves your device, contains no personal information, and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection in relation to personal data held about you. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights to know about, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Because we do not operate user accounts and do not collect identifying information through the calculators, in most cases we hold no personal data about you to act on. If you believe we do, contact us at hello@moneymetric.co and we will respond within 30 days.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. Material changes will be signaled by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
